NSClient++ Help (#1) - NSClient++ Can't connect to socket (#60) - Message List

NSClient++ Can't connect to socket

My Nagios installation reports sometime's "Return code of 139 is out of bounds" When I check the nsclient logfile I see the following:

2007-11-21 16:23:22: message:.\NSClientListener.cpp:271: Could not read NSClient packet from socket :(

2007-11-21 16:29:22: message:.\NSClientListener.cpp:271: Could not read NSClient packet from socket :(

What can be the problem?

      which version of NSCP (NSClient++) do you have?

        Now updated to the newest version, it still happens :(

          humm...

          First off try the latest nightly I have added an error message to when I think this happenhds (so hopefully if you check the log it will say something more usefull). Secondly things that might be usefull are: OS/Platform, check_nt command and output from "nsclient++ /test" and/or log with debug enabled.

          My guess (as I just got this myself) is this is what you will see though: 

          2007-11-26 18:29:22: error:..\..\include\Socket.cpp:57: recv returned SOCKET_ERROR: 10035: En icke-blockerande socketåtgärd kunde inte slutföras med en gång.
2007-11-26 18:29:22: message:.\NSClientListener.cpp:272: Could not read NSClient packet from socket :(

            Well i think you found the problem sherlock! :D

            This is what i see in my logs now on multiple servers runnin Windows Server 2003 Enterprise SP2

            2007-11-26 18:53:17: error:.\SysTray.cpp:40: SysTray is not installed (or it cannot interact with the desktop) SysTray wont be loaded. Run NSClient++ SysTray install ti change this.

            2007-11-26 18:53:50: error:..\..\include\Socket.cpp:57: recv returned SOCKET_ERROR: 10035: A non-blocking socket operation could not be completed immediately.

            2007-11-26 18:53:50: message:.\NSClientListener.cpp:272: Could not read NSClient packet from socket :(

              yeap, yeap... check the latest nightly (w32 out now I think and x64 out in secs)... Should (I hope) fix that issue...
