NSClient++ Help (#1) - NSClient not responding to check_nrpe from Linux Host [SOLVED] (#547) - Message List
Hello,
I am stumped at this point and am hoping the collective wisdom of the group can help me get this system integrated into our Nagios NMS.
Nagios on Server side is: 3.0.6
NRPE on Server side is:
[Fri Mar 26 | root@foo:/usr/local/nagios/etc/objects]$ /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe Incorrect command line arguments supplied
NRPE Plugin for Nagios Copyright (c) 1999-2008 Ethan Galstad (nagios@…) Version: 2.12 Last Modified: 03-10-2008 License: GPL v2 with exemptions (-l for more info) SSL/TLS Available: Anonymous DH Mode, OpenSSL 0.9.6 or higher required
NSClient ++ Version on the Windows 2003 R2 Server is:
2010-03-26 14:50:37: debug:CACHENSClient++.cpp:533: Attempting to start NSCLient++ - 0.3.7.493 2009-10-12
The client starts and I see it listening on the Windows box with netstat -an:
TCP 10.192.10.21:3389 192.168.0.57:53035 ESTABLISHED TCP 10.192.10.21:5778 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING
But when I run the check remotely it times out:
[Fri Mar 26 | root@fooo:/usr/local/nagios/etc/objects]$ /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H 10.192.10.21 -p 5778
CHECK_NRPE: Socket timeout after 10 seconds. [Fri Mar 26 | root@babbage:/usr/local/nagios/etc/objects]$
The windows firewall is off so I am wondering what else it might be?
Any ideas?
Thanks!
