<p>
Yesterday I installed the newest NSClient to our windows 2003 server. It was the 64 bits. After 5 minutes I get the erro i in Event Viewer "The MS DTC service stopping" after that the SQLServerAgent service successfully stopped.
</p>
<p>
So the whole SQL server 2005 stopped after installing the NSClient+++
</p>
<p>
I search the net and found another person that had expericend the exact same thing. Now I do not dare to install the agent again.
</p>
<p>
It was just to start the SQL server again, but anyway.
</p>
<p>
We have more servers with SQL server 2005 and I wounder if this is a known issue and if there is more known issued.
</p>
<p>

<p>
I have not yet installed it on 64bit but it has never happenened with 32.
You might want to schedule a service window when you install sw to a live server anyway so it does not sound like an issue.

<p>
Nothing I have ever heard of before.
</p>
<p>
All in all it sounds doubtful what does the debug log of NSClient++ tell you?
