Understanding the http-boot
Hi michael,
There's only a few information about http setup in boot.ini
I've tried this on a Windows 7 64bits system:
[settings] 1=http://serverfqdn/folder/nscp.ini
file get cached properly but program dies on the following error message :
2012-05-25 16:00:00: e:..\..\..\..\trunk\helpers\settings_manager\settings_manager_impl.cpp:258: FATAL ERROR IN SETTINGS SUBSYTEM 2012-05-25 16:00:00: e:..\..\..\trunk\service\NSClient++.cpp:562: Settings exception when loading modules: Failed initialize settings instance
This config file works when loaded from ini://${exe-path}/nscp.ini though. Have I missed something ?
Besides, it would be great if http-boot could support basic authentication, for instance :
- http://serverfqdn/path/to.ini user=foo pass=bar
Thanks for what you do,
David
