Hello we Use NSclient in some networks behind a firewall, is it possible to make a include ssh client that tunneling ports to the remote system.

at the momemt we use an seperat ssh client that create a tunnel from local port to the remote system.

Sorry for my english, i hope i could my Idea explain.

    I know someone else did this if you do a search on the forums (?) here you should find it using the one from putty IIRC....

    I see this thread is a bit older, but I'll respond anyway in case somebody still is interested. I've done exactly this. Check out http://sourceforge.net/projects/tntmonitoring/

    My system uses passive checks - meaning that it's the remote client (the one that NSClient runs on) that initiates the connection. This way, you do not need to poke a hole into any remote firewall.

    It can be configured to use either plink or https to submit the results (if you are using https, you will of course also need some Web page that accepts the results and feeds them into Nagios; standard NSCA doesn't do that).
