NSClient++ Help (#1) - Getting an Alert when a process IS running (#313) - Message List
Hello,
How can I be notified in case a certain process IS running or a certain service is in started mode?
By default I get alerts when the process/service is NOT running, but I want to have it the other way around, since if the process is (still) running there is an error (in this case a hanging backup batch job).
The process to be monitored is running on a Windows 2003 server, which has the NSClient++ installed, which I use for the other stuff.
I looked at using the CheckSystem CheckProcState which was referred to on another forum, but on my NSClient++ nothing happens.
I want to know which syntax to use to detect that the process cmd.exe is running on my Windows server so Nagios can trigger an alert on that (so the backup operators can kill that process).
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Kind regards,
Michael
