NSClient++ Help (#1) - "could not find settings" problem with service (#59) - Message List
Hi there,
Stupid mistake I'm making, I assume, but could someone enlighten me please..
my problem is with this line in the ini file:
; Use the INI file as opposed to the registry if this is 0 and the use_reg in the registry is set to 1 ; the registry will be used instead. use_file=0
I am trying to test the service with nsclient++ /test and it returns the error relating to "could not find settings".
I've looked in the registry but I cannot find the "use_reg" key anywhere.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong please? probably missing something obvious but take pity on me please. :)
Thanks very much
Steve

forgot to note:
am using latest version of nsclient++ downloaded from this site on an SBS 2003 box.

You need to "migrate your settings" (from INI-file) to the registry (or set them up manually). There is supposed to be a command for it but I cannot recall it from the top of my head, I shall check and write up a WIKI page about it.

A short few words about it here: Documentation but I shall improve the module a bit, it is not very "good" I have noticed :) (but it works, but no more then that)
