NSClient++ Help (#1) - Size of nsclient 0.3.9 binaries (#832) - Message List
I want to know why the new release of nsclient++ (0.3.9) is so big ... about 500 Mo whereas the older release (0.3.8) was about 25 Mo ...
Regards, Samuel Mutel.

I have made a mistake, it is not 500Mo but about 300 Mo and I am speaking about nsclient when it is unzip. For example CheckDisk.pdb is about 60 Mo.cameleon07808/03/11 09:37:47 (22 months ago)
I understand. The content of the zip file is different of the msi file. pdb files are useless to NSClient to work fine.
Thanks.cameleon07808/03/11 09:50:40 (22 months ago)
Yeah... pdb is "debg information" which is more if you have a problem... in 0.4.x the "symbols" (renamed them) will be a separate zip which is better so it will sort it self out, but you can safely delete all the pdb and it will hopefully be smaller...
I though everyone used the msi nowdays...
