NSClient++ Help (#1) - Status of IPv6 support (#978) - Message List
Hi all,
What is the status of IPv6 support in nsclient++? It looks like nsclient binds 5666 on IPv4 and IPv6, but an IPv6-enabled nagios server that tries to connect will have the connection immediately accepted and closed over IPv6 - this is because the "allowed hosts" config still appears to not accept IPv6 addresses.
Is there some wildcard I can use which will permit IPv6 hosts to connect? It is very likely that we will be wanting to monitor IPv6-only machines in the near future, or otherwise remove IPv4 as a requirement from our management path (especially for new deployments)

Works like a char (I think, haven't tested it though). There is a snag though (A pretty big one) as you so rightly pointed out Host validation is only ipv4 (yes, I am lazy)...
If you want this I can fix it in the next build of 0.4.1...
